Privacy Policy
Busy People (“we”, “us”) operates the Busy People app and website at busypeople.am. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, and your choices.
Information we collect
Account data: name, email, password (stored hashed), date of birth, gender, profile photo, bio, and interests you choose to share.
Activity data: events you create or join, messages in event chats and direct messages, comments, reviews, and saved events.
Payment data: if you subscribe to Busy People Pro, payments are processed by Stripe. We store subscription status and Stripe customer identifiers; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Device data: push notification tokens if you enable notifications on iOS or Android.
Technical data: session cookies for sign-in and standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting.
How we use information
We use your data to provide the service: showing events, matching participants, chat, subscriptions, and account management.
We may send transactional emails (welcome, password reset, payment receipts) and, if you enable them, push notifications about activity on your events.
We use logs and analytics to keep the platform secure, fix bugs, and improve the product.
Sharing with third parties
Stripe processes subscription payments under its own privacy policy.
Email delivery providers send messages on our behalf.
Firebase Cloud Messaging may deliver push notifications to your device.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect users and the service.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and activity data while your account is active. You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Account settings → Delete account). You may also contact us for help. Some records may be retained where required for legal, security, or billing purposes.
Your rights
You can update profile information and delete your account in the app. You may also request access, correction, or deletion of your data by email. If you are in the EEA or similar jurisdictions, you may have additional rights under applicable law.
Age requirement
Busy People is intended for adults. You must meet the minimum age shown at registration (typically 18+) to create an account.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
